Ear Nose & Throat Specialists
Our Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists are all fellows of the Royal Australasian college of surgeons, and members of the Australian Society of Head & Neck Surgery, and the Laryngology Society of Australasia. All have had many years of sub-specialty training and practice in the management of swallowing, upper airway and voice disorders, and have published and presented widely in the discipline. They all collaborate closely with speech pathologists in the care of patients with swallowing, upper airway and voice disorders.

A Speech Pathologist is a paramedical / health professional who has expertise in the assessment and management of communication, voice and swallowing disorders. As many swallowing problems have a neurological or structural basis, the speech pathologist has expertise in the evaluation of the pharyngeal and laryngeal physiology regarding the efficiency and safety of the swallowing mechanism. Our Speech Pathologists at the Melbourne Swallow Analysis Centre all have significant experience in the acute medical setting, additional qualifications and sustained dedication to the field of dysphagia and laryngology working alongside their Otolaryngology colleagues as integral team members.
