SUMMARY:Oesophageal Sweep for Speech pathologists
DESCRIPTION:Back by popular demand\, this workshop will provide speech pathologists with a basic understanding of normal oesophageal anatomy and physiology\, common oesophageal conditions and how they are evaluated. \nIt aims to teach speech pathologists how to conduct an oesophageal sweep during Videofluoroscopic Swallowing Studies (VFSS) to identify patients at risk of oesophageal dysphagia and when to refer on for further specialist evaluation. \nThis three-hour workshop includes theory\, hands-on ratings\, discussion and problem solving presented by both speech pathology and ENT/ Laryngologists.
